Thoroughbred Classic 5K Participant
Chip timed 5K competitive race with awards for the top 3 overall male and female, masters, grand master, and senior finishers as well as awards for the top 3 male and female age group finishers. New for 2017: Largest team prize. The course runs through the scenic grounds of the historic Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. Bluegrass Runners member discount: Active members of Bluegrass Runners will receive a $5.00 club membership discount, which will be automatically applied on the payment page during registration. If you are already a member of the Bluegrass Runners, be sure to register for the race with the same RunSignUp account you use to register/renew with BGR. If you are not a member of Bluegrass Runners and would like to get the discount, please visit https://runsignup.com/Club/KY/Lexington/BluegrassRunners. Sign up for the club, then come back to this page and complete your registration using the account you used to register for the club. Members receive discounts on numerous other races as well as discounts at local vendors. These more than make up for the club fee. Further, proceeds from the club are used to support local charities, primarily through the Thoroughbred Classic. If you'd like to meet other runners, support the local community, and enjoy many other benefits of being a Bluegrass Runner, we'd love to have you join our club! While we do not encourage participation with strollers or dogs, we understand that Thanksgiving is a family holiday and that for some families, they cannot participate without bringing their stroller or dog. If that is the case, and you need to participate with a stroller or dog, you must purchase a $5 untimed bib (below) for each stroller and each dog. If bibs are not purchased during registration, bibs will be available for purchase on race day. Also, all participants with strollers and dogs MUST start in the designated area BEHIND all the runners and walkers and must be personally responsible for any strollers or dogs and not disrupt any other participant on the course. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ARE PERMITTED. Stroller and dog bibs are NOT qualified as a participant for the largest team prize, turkey finisher medals, shirts, socks or any other race giveaways. If you do not follow these, or any other rules, or do not purchase a bib, you will be removed from the course. ****NOTE: If you complete multiple registrations at once, you are charged only ONE $2.50 SignUp Fee. You may register yourself and a stroller or dog at the same time****
Thoroughbred Classic 5K Participant (9 & under)
Please register children 9 & under that will complete the 5K under their own power (no stroller riders) for this Event so they will be assigned a special bib number allowing our volunteers to give them a finisher medal.
5K Stroller Rider
Generic race bibs may be purchased for children in a stroller. These participants will not be timed. ****NOTE: The Person pushing the stroller must register for the Thoroughbred Classic 5K (above), and If you add this with main race registration, you are charged only ONE SignUp Fee****
5K Participating Dog
Generic race bibs may be purchased for a 4 legged participant. These participants will not be timed. ****NOTE: The Person walking the dog must register for the Thoroughbred Classic 5K (above), and If you add this with main race registration, you are charged only ONE SignUp Fee****
