2020 Towpath Run 6K

Friends of Little Ones, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization will be conducting the 2020 Towpath Run, a 6K (3.7 mile) Race/Walk for Literacy, VIRTUALLY during the week of Monday September 21, through Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020. We made the decision to turn this year’s race into a virtual one in response to this year’s COVID pandemic and to ensure the safety of all participants and volunteers involved in this fundraising event. 100% of the profits from this event will go to Little Ones Learning Center, a free, non-profit literacy program for children ages 0 through 6. The registration fee for the virtual race is $18 and all registered participants (must register by 9/14) will receive a commemorative short sleeve T-shirt. How does a virtual run work? It's simple! You complete the required distance (3.7 miles), running or walking, at some point during the race week (9/21-9/27) anywhere you would like. You can run/walk on a treadmill or anywhere outdoors, or you can run the traditional course that we hold the race on every other year. We only ask that you respect the guidelines that have been set forth for social distancing and please do not run in groups. You can track the time that it takes to complete your distance using the treadmill, a GPS watch or ANY activity tracking app (such as Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, Strava, etc.) You will receive an email by end of day on Sunday 9/20 with instructions on how to submit your time into the live results starting on Sun 9/21. T-Shirt Pickup/Delivery: Shortly after the completion of the race week, participants will receive an email with the pickup dates(s) and time(s) to retrieve their shirt at Little Ones Learning Center. Participants can also opt to have their shirt mailed to them for an additional fee of $3.00 per registrant. An email will be sent by the end of day on Sunday 9/20 with additional details regarding the pickup.
