2021 Towpath Run Virtual 6K - Cancelled
The 2021 Towpath Run ((Virtual and in-person) has unfortunately been cancelled this year. Please look for us again in 2022! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The virtual option of the Towpath Run 6K is simple and works on your schedule! Just complete the required 6K distance (3.7 miles), running or walking, at some point during the race timeframe (9/18-9/26) anywhere you would like. You can run/walk on a treadmill or anywhere outdoors, or you can run the course that we hold the race on each year. We only ask that you respect the guidelines that have been set forth for social distancing and please do not run in groups. You can track the time that it takes to complete your distance using the treadmill, a GPS watch or ANY activity tracking app (such as Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, Strava, etc.) T-Shirt Pickup/Delivery: Shortly after the completion of the race week, participants will receive an email with the pickup dates(s) and time(s) to retrieve their shirt at Little Ones Learning Center. Participants can also opt to have their shirt mailed to them for an additional fee of $3.00 per registrant.

The 2021 Towpath Run has unfortunately been cancelled this year. Please look for us again in 2022! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friends of Little Ones, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization will be conducting the 2021 Towpath Run, a 6K (3.7 mile) Race/Walk for Literacy in a hybrid format this year. Participants will have the option to join us in person on race day, September 26, 2021, for a modified course of our traditional Towpath Run, or complete the race "virtually" between the dates of Sept. 18 through Sept. 26. To ensure the safety of all participants and volunteers involved in this fundraising event, COVID safety protocols will be followed in accordance with CDC guidelines and a COVID-19 Race Plan will be followed accordingly. 100% of the profits from this event will go to Little Ones Learning Center, a free, non-profit literacy program for children ages 0 through 6. The registration fee for the race is $20 and all registered participants will receive a commemorative short sleeve race T-shirt. The race course has been modified this year into an out-and-back format. Participants will start at the Harold Lipton Community Center in Accord, turn onto Tobacco Road, then continue along Towpath Road until the intersection of St. Josen Road, at which point racers will turn around and head back to the finish line at the Community Center. Walkers will start at 9 a.m., and runners will start at 9:15 a.m. There will be no same day on-site registrations at the Community Center this year. All registrations must be completed online by the participant through the RunSignUp website. Please arrive no later than 8:30 am on race day.
