Vac & Dash Two-Mile Tuesday -

Held every Tuesday in June - July & August in 2024.  It is not mandatory that you participate every Tuesday.

There is no charge to participate.  It's $20.00 if you want a Two-Mile Tuesday Shirt.

2-mile Tuesday is designed as a speed workout.  Every Tuesday you push yourself a bit for two-miles.  Record your time on runsignup.com.  We will have prizes throughout the summer for folks logging their times.

There are only two rules -

1- Push yourself a bit for 2-miles and record your time. You can run more than 2-miles, you just have to record your 2-mile time.  The goal is to push yourself and try to improve your time throughout the summer.

2-If you are unable to do your speedwork on a Tuesday, you can do it any day of the week.  Log your results on runsignup.com.

New this year - You can run your two-miles anywhere.  

Although there is no official 2-mile Tuesday routes, here's two in Stanly County you can use.

I will be at the Original 2-mile Tuesday route on Depot St. (behind the Stanly County Family YMCA) to monitor two runs. One at 5:15 am and the other at 6:00 am.  I will also have some 2-mile Tuesday runs on some Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at various locations with water and more.

Original 2-mile Tuesday route: 

Course: Start at the corner of Franklin & Depot. Run down Depot to Salisbury, (Dunlap Vision Center) Left on Salisbury, Left on the Greenway at the intersection of Salisbury/52. 

Follow the Greenway along 52. When you get to the end of the fence at the baseball field, follow left on the Greenway. When you get to the tree just before the restrooms, turn around and reverse the route, finishing at the corner of Franklin & Depot.
