Why the slogan CRAP? Cancer is Crap!
Let's rally together and shower love and strength on those battling cancer! Join us for the 14th Annual Crap Run, a heartfelt tribute to Venecia Butler's legacy of kindness. Lace up your shoes, put on your crazy outfit and run/walk in solidarity with those brave fighters. You can choose your challenge division by selecting Traditional - Clydesdale - Athena - Virtual. We also offer a 1 mile Kid Run for those budding competitors. Together we can have an enjoyable evening running under the stars in Piedmont, AL while raising funds for our mission to bring a little joy to Cancer Warriors.

Friday, October 2nd
2:00 p.m. - Pre-registration closes
4:00 p.m. - Packet Pickup at the Foundation until 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 3rd
1:00 p.m. - Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup Opens
5:30 p.m. - Kid Run Registration Closes
5:50 p.m. - Line Up for Kid Run Begins
6:00 p.m. - Kid Run Starts with Awards Presented at Finish Line
6:15 p.m. - Crap Run Registration and Packet Pickup Closes
6:30 p.m. - Crap Run Opening Ceremony and Warm Up
6:45 p.m. - Line Up for Crap Run Begins
7:00 p.m. - Crap Run Starts
8:30 p.m. - Crap Run Awards Ceremony
Packet Pickup: You will be able to pick up your race packet on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and race day starting at 1:00 p.m. We ask that you don't come for race packets outside of these times. Race staff will be busy setting up the event. Thanks for understanding.
Bib Number and Timing Chips: 5k participants will be chipped time to process race results, and your 5k finish time will be posted based on the chip time. It is essential to prominently display the bib number provided on the front of your shirt throughout the race. The timing chip is affixed to the back of your bib number. Kindly remember to bring your bib number on the day of the race, as the absence of the bib will lead to an unrecorded time. Please note that the transfer of bib numbers to other runners is strictly prohibited. Spare bib numbers will not be provided.
Parking: Parking and restrooms are available on-site.
Pets at the Race: If you choose to bring your pet, please be sure to follow Piedmont City rules. All pets must be on a leash. Please clean up after your pet. The actions of the pet are the responsibility of the pet owner/caretaker.
Strollers at the Race: The course is run on city streets and along Ladiga trail which makes for a good stroller experience. If you are participating with a stroller or young children, we ask that you keep your children with you at all times and that you start from the back of the starting line. This will allow your family members and our other participants a safer race experience.
Registration Transfer and Cancellation Policy: This event will occur rain or shine. Transferring your registration fees to another runner is not allowed. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. Cancellation notice will be posted on Venecia's Foundation Facebook page as well as through email notifications. In the event of a cancellation, we cannot offer a refund; rather your entry fee will be used as a donation to Venecia's Foundation (501c3).

KID Fun Run
Fun Run is for ages 10 and under ONLY. * Awards are given to the top male and top female finishers. Winners will be handed their Award at the end of the race. * PLEASE NOTE - You must be registered for the race by 8 p.m. on 9/24/23 to receive a race T -shirt. * Online registration will remain open until 10 p.m. on Friday, 10/6/23. Foundation will be open Thursday and Friday of race week from 4 -8 p.m. for last minute runners to register. * There will be NO RACE DAY registration so get signed up TODAY. * You can also pick up race t-shirts Thursday and Friday of race week from 4-8 p.m. and on Race Day starting at 1 p.m.. * Race will run rain or shine. No refunds or transfers are available for this race.
Traditional 5K Crap Run
* This race will use bib chip timing to record all runner times and determine race winners. * Awards are given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finisher and then we have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female winners in 7 age divisions. Age divisions are: 15 and under; 16-25 yrs; 26-35 yrs; 36-45 yrs; 46-55 yrs; 56-65 yrs; and 65 and above. Award ceremony will be held after the race has ended. * PLEASE NOTE - You must be registered for the race by 8 p.m. on 9/24/23 to receive a race T -shirt. * Online registration will remain open until 10 p.m. on Friday, 10/6/23. Foundation will also be open Thursday and Friday of race week from 4 -8 p.m. for last minute runners to register. * There will be NO RACE DAY registration so get signed up TODAY. * You can also pick up race t-shirts Thursday and Friday of race week from 4-8 p.m. and on Race Day starting at 1 p.m. * Race will run rain or shine. VIRTUAL 5k Crap Run/Walk
If competing in person is not possible for you, choose our Virtual 5k Crap Run. ** When can I run? Anytime between July 30th through October 7th. ** Where can I run? You can run or walk from any location you choose. You can run, jog or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace. ** How do I share results? Time it yourself. Report your time right here on our race page by October 7th. Click on the Results tab in the left side column to enter your results. Please note, due to the nature of virtual results being reliant, virtual participant's results are for recognition and will not be eligible for race awards. ** Will I get Crap T-shirt? You must be registered for the race by 8 p.m. on 9/24/23 to receive a race T -shirt. Your t-shirt will be shipped directly to you. We start shipping shirts out when we have received them from our manufacturer. Unfortunately, shirts are only available for shipment within continental US at this time. ** Do I pay extra for shipping? No, the cost of shipping is included. Print a finisher certificate and share your pictures or stories on our Facebook page.
Clydesdale and Athena Divisions
To encourage more participation and level the competition, we acknowledge weight can make a difference in race speed so we are offering an opportunity to level the field by offering two race divisions – Athena and Clydesdale. * To sign up for our Athena Crap Run division, female runner must be 165 lbs and over. * To sign up for our Clydesdale Crap Run division, male runner must be 220 lbs and over. * No pre-race weigh in is required – we are relying on honor system. * This race will use bib chip timing to record all runner times and determine race winners. * Awards are given to Top 3 male and Top 3 female finishers.
