About this race
Fundraiser for Welcome Sports Ministry, an outreach of Welcome Lutheran Church, providing completely free martial arts lessons focused on self defense for all ages. This year will be DIFFERENT. While we will still offer a timed format for those wishing to keep track of their official run times, this Fun Run will be a Capture the Flag event. Come and join us to experience a beautiful country run/walk past open pastures and farm animals while raising money for a wonderful community outreach program.
Race Divisions for Child 6 and Under, Youth 7-9, 10-14 M/F, 15-19 M/F, 20-34 M/F. 35-49 M/F, 50-64 M/F, and Seniors 65 and Over. Race medals for all participants. Capture the flag winners in each race division will receive a prize. Special Awards for top OVERALL Male and Female timed finishers.
No prizes for costumes but if you want to DRESS LIKE A NINJA, that's cool, too.

Welcome Warriors Ninja 5K Fun Run/Walk
We will be using RunSignUp's RaceDay Mobile App for timing. Race medals for all participants. Capture the flag winners in each race division will receive an award. Special Awards for top OVERALL Male and Female timed finishers. All participants registering by February 14th receive t-shirt. There are no prizes for costumes but if you want to DRESS LIKE A NINJA, that's cool, too. How it works: Each race division will have its own colored flag. The flags will be posted at the halfway point. First person to capture the flag and bring it across the finish lines wins that division. If another person in that division catches up to the flag holder en route, they can tap out the runner, and capture the flag. The tapped out runner gives up a 10 yard advantage and can then immediately resume the race and try to recapture the flag. No fighting allowed, just good clean fun. Race Divisions are as follows: Child 6 and Under Youth 7-9 Seniors 65 and Over The following divisions will be separated by biological male and female 10-14 M/F 15-19 M/F 20-34 M/F 35-49 M/F 50-64 M/F
