Ymca Creepy Crawl 5K
About this race
Our 18th annual "spooky themed" race starts at the Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area. We head down the scenic Santa Fe Trail for 1.1 miles, then turn back and finish with a lap around Palmer Lake. This is sure to be a fun day for everyone! Our Kids Monster Dash Fun Run is free and for kids 12 and under. Its one fun lap around Palmer Lake (0.8 miles). Costumes and "Spirit" wear encouraged! All proceeds from the Creepy Crawl 5k benefit the YMCA and provide support to a family or individual in need.
Join fellow runners on October 27, 2018 for the Ymca Creepy Crawl 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, Kids' Free Monster Dash, Furry Friends featuring a flat and fast course in Palmer Lake.

Running
5K Run/Walk (Ages 7 and Older)
5K starts in Palmer Lake and heads south on the Sante Fe Trail for a little over a mile, then head back north, go around the lake and finish strong with all of your friends and family cheering you on! Costume contests begin at 8:45am with awards being presented following the 5K! Hang around and have fun in our large vendor area too!

Kids' Free Monster Dash
The Monster Dash is free for kids ages 12 and under with an option to purchase a t-shirt. Parents may join their kids as they run around the lake (.82 mile). Monster Dash starts at 10:30am following the 5K.
Virtual Run
An option if you aren't in town, too busy, worried about the weather, or too sleepy to get up that early. You choose when, how, and where. Post pictures of you doing your run/walk on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/YMCARACES) and tell us how it went! OR we'll run in your honor! Either way, you get a shirt and a warm heart knowing that every penny goes back to the local community to help families in need!
Furry Friends
Furry Friends are now welcome to run with their human friends! Must be leashed, current on shots, and well behaved. Human friends must pick up after furry friends. Furry friends will receive a rock'n Creepy Crawl 5K bandana and a treat! All furry animals must run in the furry friendly waves. Don't worry, your time starts when you cross the starting line and end when you cross the finish line.
