About this race
Founded and produced by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in America. It allows participants to start Thanksgiving Day off on the right foot by celebrating generosity and wellness with thousands of other runners and walkers committed to investing in their community. All event proceeds are donated to four nonprofit beneficiaries: Healthier Kids Foundation, HomeFirst, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, and Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County.
This family-focused event welcomes participants of all fitness levels—elite runners, joggers, and walkers—to enjoy the flat and fast course that flows through downtown San Jose's local neighborhoods and businesses.

Kids Fun Run (ages 2-7) Sponsored by FIRST 5 Santa Clara County
The Kids Fun Run has 3 dash distances for each respective age group that are not part of the 5K/10K courses. Distances subject to change due to course conditions. Registration for this event closes the night before. If you wish to register on site it will be $20 in cash.
Women's PA/USATF Elite 5K Sponsored by El Camino Hospital
Run in conjunction with our Women's Elite pro race. Entrants must be current PA/USATF members with a 5K qualifying time of 18:59 within the last 18 months. PA/USATF total prize purse of $2,000* * Double dipping is allowed for PA/USATF athletes between the Elite Men’s/Women’s 5K and PA/USATF prize purses. PA/USATF prize money is awarded to PA/USATF members only.
