About this race
Founded and produced by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in America. It allows participants to start Thanksgiving Day off on the right foot by celebrating generosity and wellness with thousands of other runners and walkers committed to investing in their community. All event proceeds are donated to four nonprofit beneficiaries: Healthier Kids Foundation, HomeFirst, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, and Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County.
This family-focused event welcomes participants of all fitness levels—elite runners, joggers, and walkers—to enjoy the flat and fast course that flows through downtown San Jose's local neighborhoods and businesses.

The FIRST 5 Kids Fun Run is a great way to motivate your kiddos to get outside and exercise! Spend time in our Stanford Children's Medicine Kids Fun Zone and then watch your little one complete their run. All finishers receive a Kids Fun Run t-shirt, medal, Potter the Otter reading book, and a Turkey coloring sheet. Race distance is age dependent: - Ages 2-3, 100 yards - Ages 4-5, 200 yards - Ages 6-7, 300 yards

The Virtual Kids Fun Run is a great way to motivate your kiddos to get outside and exercise! Choose your own time, location, and distance -- whether it be around the block or exploring your neighborhood. Registrations come with a Kids Fun Run t-shirt, bib, and Potter the Otter reading book. Plus we can ship to anywhere in the U.S.! Just make sure to register by November 12th to ensure your packet arrives by race day.

Run in conjunction with our Women's Elite pro race. Entrants must be current PA/USATF members with a 5K qualifying time of 18:59 within the last 18 months.

Run in conjunction with our Men's Elite pro race. Entrants must be current PA/USATF members with a 5K qualifying time of 16:59 within the last 18 months.
