OLYMPIC DISTANCE TRIATHLON START: 7:00AM DISTANCE: SWIM 1200yd BIKE 26mi RUN 6.5mi . COURSE: SWIM = 1.5k open water Flat bay, no waves. 1 loop counterclockwise around buoys. Outbound swim on the outside of the swim area Return after turning at the checkered buoy swimming on the inside of the swim area Buoys are always on your left shoulder Wetsuit legal Water temps between 65-61 degrees Sand start Run to T1 is less than 200yards BIKE = 26miles (out &back) NOT A CLOSED COURSE Aid Station at the turn around point - Alondra Blvd. Road is not closed - open to public 3 right turns on way out and 2 left turns to enter the San Gabriel Bike Path About 5 Lights outbound on streets before you hit the bike path (shouldn’t be an issue) 2 of them will be making a right turn onto bike lane. The path is relatively flat with some dips under overpasses. Watch out for other cyclists. Right before mile 6ish, you will make a left turn to cross a white. Do not go straight. Volunteer and race arrows will direct you to turn left. On the return - after you have hit the aid station at Alondra Blvd. head back on the path. Will cross a bridge again. When the path ends…. Right turn onto Marina Drive Right turn on Marine Drive again Left turn onto 2nd street *this is a light Head straight down 2nd street to Bayshore Ave. Hug Bayshore Ave till it dead ends into our T2 which will be across the street from T1 RUN = 6.52 Miles (1.5 loops on run path) Aid Stations about every mile Aid station #1 at run start Aid station #2 at the pier Aid station #3 at the turn around Junipero Hill All aid stations will offer: Water ICE Fluid Electrolyte drinks ClifBar - bars, shots, and blocks Banana Halves Pretzels Gummy Bears REGISTRATION INCLUDE: Premium Race Shirt Chip Timing/Race Bib/Live Results Course Aid/Nutrition Finisher Medal Post Race Food Free Digital Finish Line Photos
