About the Event
Join us for this 5th annual race to raise funds for the homeless of Lexington while celebrating the life of Brandon True. Special thanks to Anderson Communities for their Presenting Sponsorship.
SATURDAY, APRIL 17, 2027, at 9:00AM at COLDSTREAM PARK/LEGACY TRAIL
Race benefits the New Life Day Center
RACE FEATURES:
- Flat, fast course on paved trail surfaces on the scenic Legacy Trail
- Commemorative unisex sized race T-shirts (Sizes S-3XL)
- Awards for Top 3 M/F Overall & Top 3 M/F in 5-year age groups
- Social teams to enhance your race experience. Prize for the largest team.
- 5K run/walk, 1-mile fun walk, Little Heroes Kid's Dash & virtual option
- Music, food, fun and fellowship for a great local cause!
PACKET PICKUP Our packet pickup will be Friday, April 16, 4-7pm at Drake's Restaurant on Leestown Road. Come grab your packet and enjoy dinner at Drakes!
Join fellow runners on April 17, 2027 for the Brandon True Memorial Heroes For The Homeless 5K Presented by Anderson Communities. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K, Little Heroes Kid's Dash, Race Volunteer featuring a flat and fast course in Lexington.
Races Offered
Running
5K Run/Walk
A chip timed 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk on paved trail surfaces. Awards for Top 3 M/F Overall & Top 3 M/F in 5 year age divisions. Walkers, strollers & dogs on a fixed length leash are welcomed.
Little Heroes Kid's Dash
A free 1/4 mile dash for kids 9 and under. Parents can add a commemorative T-shirt for a $10 add on charge. This is an untimed event and there are no awards. Each child will receive a participation medal.
Virtual Runner/Walker
If you can't join us in person consider supporting our cause as a virtual runner/walker. For a $30 donation you can run/walk your own Heroes For The Homeless 5K in your hometown and on your schedule. We'll mail or deliver your commemorative T-shirt to you.
Race Volunteer
We need 6 enthusiastic volunteers to work a 3 hour race day shift from 7:30-10:30am to make the race a success. Volunteers receive a commemorative race shirt.
Walking
1 Mile Fun Walk
A fun, untimed walk to support our cause. There are no awards for this event.
