Fast Track to a Cure 5K is inspired by Oligo survivors, families and friends who have a passion for our mission and want to make a difference in the lives of those living with Oligodendroglioma. Let's come together as a community to provide more effective treatments for all!
About one of our survivors, Stanley...
In March 2021, Stanley Currier (a resident of Marina Bay) suddenly experienced 2 grand mal seizures, and was diagnosed with Grade 3 oligodendroglioma. Shortly thereafter, the Currier family teamed up with Oligo Nation to support research to find a cure for this rare form of brain cancer. We hosted our first 5K in fall 2021, and have continued every year since. Friends and family around the United States and world held virtual walks and runs on the same day each year! Our family, friends and colleagues continue to jump on board to do everything in our power to help bring research into the clinic with a mission for long-term survivorship for Stanley and others affected by this cancer.
The Fast Track to a Cure event in the Bay Area has grown, involving more families, friends and caring community members. We are so grateful to you for your ongoing support, and look forward to seeing you participate live or virtually at the 6th Fast Track to a Cure Bay Area this September!
