About this race
The eighth annual 5K and inaugural 10k is being presented by Leading Edge to benefit Take Heart. Take Heart will use the funds raised by this event to create opportunities for orphans and widows in Kenya to overcome poverty through education and entrepreneurship.
Join fellow runners on September 26, 2020 for the Leading Edge Take Heart 10K/5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Lakeland.

Choose this option if you would like to be chip timed by Fitniche. Race shirt and finisher medal while supplies last.
Leading Edge Take Heart 5k Walkers/Not Timed
Choose this option if you are a non-competitive participant who will not be chipped. Race shirt and finisher medal while supplies last.
Leading Edge Take Heart 5k Sleep In
Choose this option if you would rather sleep in but would still like to support a good cause or for those who live out of town or have other plans that day. Race shirt included while supplies last.
Leading Edge Take Heart Virtual
Choose this option so that you can run anywhere you like! The Virtual Race can be completed in your own neighborhood, at a local park, or even the treadmill. Sign up and then gather some friends, decide on a route, and, of course, plan how you'll celebrate after you rock your 5k. You will recieve a medal and race shirt after September 26th.
