New Glarus Woods Trail Run
About this race
Join us Saturday, August 15 for the 7th annual New Glarus Wood Trail Run! We are part of the Savanna Trail Run Series. Proceeds from this event go to the Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park. We aim to host a top notch trail run that highlights our park. Stick around after the race for lunch, awards and other activities!
Parking is at New Glarus High School. Then walk, jog or take the shuttle bus to the start area in the park. Please see our website for more details on the shuttle and bag drop.
Note: No race day registration. Registration fee increases to $65 July 1, 2025

Ready to test your limits? The New Glarus Woods Trail Run brings a highly anticipated 16.1K, 8K, 1.6K to New Glarus on August 14, 2021. Expect a fantastic route right in the heart of Wisconsin.

10 Mile Trail Run
The course begins with a gentle downhill on the Sugar River Trail before turning onto double track trails for the rest of the 5 mile loop. The 10 milers will continue on for a similar loop. You'll see two aid stations on each loop of the course. The 5 and 10 milers are open to runners 14 and up. The top overall M/F finishers in each race will receive awards, as will the top 3 participants in the following age groups: <21, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Think you have a good sense of pace? For the 10 milers, we will present a Consistency award for the runner with the most even pace throughout the race.
