The Novant Health Wilmington, NC Marathon brings you world class shopping, beautiful beaches, famous restaurants and a historic downtown waterfront. The 1 mile is the 1st race adding to the marathon madness in March! The 1 mile starts and finishes at the Marathon and Half Marathon finish line, which is the same location as the EXPO/Packet Pickup. Come enjoy Marathon Madness at the Beach!
5K - Saturday March 15th

The half marathon starts on Wrightsville Beach, exists the island, weaves through the community of Landfall and finishes in Mayfaire Town Center. We have always received positive feedback because of the combination of scenery, Atlantic Intracoastal Water Way views, spectator friendly, and a loud course. The course consists of college themed cheer stations with the NCAA basketball tourney beginning, DJ’s, bands and spectator hot spots. Come enjoy Marathon Madness at the Beach! The full marathon is essentially 2 loops of the half marathon course, however there are a few straight aways that runners do 3 times. The advantage of this is it is very spectator friendly and allows friends and family to see marathoners 5 to 8 times during the race. We have always received positive feedback because of the combination of scenery, Atlantic Intracoastal Water Way views, spectator friendly, and a loud course. The course consists of college themed cheer stations with the NCAA basketball tourney beginning, DJ’s, bands and spectator hot spots. Come enjoy Marathon Madness at the Beach! Marathon RELAY
This event consist of a 2 or 3 person team. Pricing is based on each individual team member. Relay Check Point: The relay will have 3 legs for either 2 or 3 person team. Relay runners are responsible for getting to and from the check point. Leg #1 is approximately 11.2 miles Leg #2 is approximately 5 miles Leg #3 is approximately 10 miles. The relay exchange is at the corner of PEMBROKE JONES and EASTWOOD BLVD.
