Patuxent River Triathlon (Ages 5-17)
USAT INFORMATION: All children must be a USAT member or purchase a Membership for $10. All children must abide by all USAT rules. Race age is determined by the age you are as of 12/31/2017. AGES AND DISTANCES: *Note that race age is determined as of December 31st of the current year. Tri-It-Out Ages 5-6 and 7-8 (25M Swim, 1.0 mi bike, 0.25 mi run) * Floatation devices Allowed for ages 5-6 Super Sprint Ages 9-10 and 11-12 (100 M swim, 2.5 mi bike, 1.0 mi run) Half Sprint Ages 13-15 and 16-17 (300M swim, 6.4 mi bike, 1.5 mi run) T-SHIRTS: *please note that if you do not register by Monday, July 3rd, your t-shirt size cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to meet all accommodations. AWARDS: All finishers will receive a finisher medal! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female overall and in each age group (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16 and over). PACKET PICK UP: August 4: 6 – 8 PM WILDEWOOD Community Center August 5: 6:15-7:00 AM WILDEWOOD Community Center Family Discount: Please note that discounts are available for families. Save $8 per registration for 2 to 3 kids of the same family and Save $10 per registration for 4-6 kids of the same family. Please note that in order to keep our registration costs as low as possible for all races the Tiny Tri registration does not count toward the family discount. Pre-Race Triathlon Clinic - What to expect race day. 7/21 5-6pm Wildewood Pool Basketball Court Parking Lot (rear parking area) Bicycle Handling and Safety Clinic - 7/21 6-7 pm For the older kids (Super Sprint and up) - learn tips on how to ride within your limits and safely handling your bicycle while racing. Race Morning Schedule: 6:15-7:00 am Packet Pick-Up and Bike Inspection 7:30-7:45 am Warm ups in the pool (optional) 7:45 Pre-race brief and National Anthem 8:00 Race start Awards - approx 10:30 am
Tiny Tri (Ages 3-5)
A special tri for ages 3-5. 12.5M swim (flotation devices allowed); 75 yds bike (trikes, big wheels allowed); 50 yd run.
