Join The Tide® ministry in taking God's Word to unreached locations through your participation in the Race to Share the Gospel Around the World. With a variety of ways to get involved, there is an event for everyone who wants to participate in making an eternal impact in the lives of millions around the world.

Our 2026 Event
We are excited to announce that proceeds from this year's Race to Share the Gospel Around the World will benefit our programming in Thailand!
Join fellow runners on May 17, 2025 for the Race to Share the Gospel Around the World. It's a fantastic 5K, Half-Marathon featuring a flat and fast course in Chambersburg.

Running
5K Run/Walk
Gather with us for FUN, FOOD, and FELLOWSHIP as we host our second in-person race. In-person racers will also receive FREE registration for the Virtual Challenge of your choice. Top 3 male and female racers receive a place medal for ages: - 12 and under - 13-21 - 22-45 - 46 and above Schedule: 8:00-9:00 – Race Packet Pickup (or 9-3 at The Tide office on Friday, May 16th) 9:00-1:00 – Games, Family-Fun Activities, and Sponsor Booths Open 9:20 – *1-Mile Fun Run/Walk 10:00 – *5K Run/Walk 11:15/30 – FREE Lunch 12:15 - Medal Ceremony and Door Prize Drawings (must be present to win) *Paid registration required for these events. The Family Fun Day is open to the public. Please note: a signed waiver is required to participate in the activities. Please visit the registration table upon arrival to sign and receive your wristband. Minors require an adult to sign for them.
16-Day Virtual Challenge
This virtual event invites participants to run, walk, hike, or swim 13 miles between May 17th and June 1st to raise funds and bring awareness to the work we are doing to tell people in Cameroon the truth about Jesus. This year Participants will virtually navigate through the streets of a city in Cameroon, with the opportunity to pray for those who haven’t yet heard the Good News of Jesus. By entering your distances as you complete your miles, you will encounter Milestone Markers with prayer suggestions for real places as your icon travels along the race path on your progress map, allowing us to virtually flood the streets with prayer and creating a Kingdom presence among lost souls. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000, giving nearly 1.5 million people the opportunity to access the Good News of Jesus. While it is not a requirement to participate, would you consider asking people to sponsor your miles or make a donation to help us reach this goal? Because this is a challenge, and not a traditional race, you are able to break up the distance over the 16-day period. Doing as little as 1-mile per day will allow you to complete the challenge in the allotted time. Here are some suggestions of ways you may choose to participate: Find a track to run/walk (4 laps = 1 mile) Find a park with trails nearby Go shopping and track your distance for the trip Play three rounds of golf (avg. course = 5 miles per 18-holes) Swim laps in a pool (Olympic pool = 16.1 laps/mile or standard pool = 32.2 laps/mile) All funds raised this year through the Race to Share the Gospel Around the World will benefit the work we are doing in Cameroon.
Cheerleader
If you are unable to participate in the physical challenges, you can still be involved as a Cheerleader! As a Cheerleader you can: - Pray for challenge participants and the prayer suggestions at the Milestone Markers you will encounter along the virtual race path - Spread the word about the race - Become an individual or team fundraiser This year Participants will virtually navigate through the streets of a city in Cameroon with the opportunity to pray for those who haven’t yet heard the Good News of Jesus. Each day you pray you will submit 1-mile on your race page. This will unlock Milestone Markers with prayer suggestions for real places in the city as your icon travels along the race path on your progress map, allowing us to virtually flood the streets with prayer and creating a Kingdom presence among lost souls. Attention Youth Pastors! Are you looking for a way to introduce your students to the world beyond your church building and help them understand the importance of missions, or perhaps give them an opportunity to practice what you have already taught them? If so, we invite your student group to partner with us! This year Participants will virtually navigate through the streets of a city in Cameroon with the opportunity to pray for those who haven’t yet heard the Good News of Jesus. Sponsorship Benefits include: - Ministry recognized with logo on Race website - A representative from The Tide will speak to your group (via live stream if out of area) - The Youth Ministry raising the most funds (per person average) will win a free pizza party for their Race group! Requirements: - Minimum of 4 students - Complete the Virtual Challenge - Commit to raise at least $25 average/participant (Ex: 4 students =$100 total, 6 students =$150 total, etc.)
