Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K
About this race
The Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K returns for its 47th year on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
First run in 1980, this event holds the title of the longest-running half marathon in the St. Louis region, offering runners a classic road race experience through the historic and scenic setting of Forest Park.
THE COURSE
Both the Half Marathon and the 5K start and finish at the Muny Festival Grounds.
START
We use an “Open Start” format, meaning there will be a formal half marathon gun-start at 7:30 AM, but you may start your half marathon race any time between 7:30 and 7:40 AM. For the 5K, there will be a formal gun-start at 8:00 AM, but you may start your 5k race any time between 8:00 and 8:10 AM.
PRIZES & AWARDS
All finishers receive a custom metal medal!
Half Marathon: Prize money awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female overall finishers.
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $100
Age Group Awards: Recognizing the top 3 finishers in each age group, male and female. Age groups are: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
5K: Overall awards for the top 3 male and female finishers only.
PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will be held Friday, Nov. 6 at Running Niche, 1601 Tower Grove Avenue, St.Louis, MO 63110.
Packet pickup will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Voyager Room in the Forest Park Visitors Center. Detailed times will be emailed to participants.
Race-day packet pickup will be from 6AM-8AM.

Saint Louis Half Marathon
This year will be the 51st consecutive year of the Saint Louis classic road race. Forest Park will be the centerpiece attraction of the Half Marathon. The race will start and finish in front of The Muny! *At any point leading up to race day, a Virtual 13.1 runner can upgrade to become a Live 13.1 runner. *Saint Louis Track Club MEMBERS, please sign into RunSignUp with your membership email in order to utilize your race discount. Course Map is now available at stlouistrackclub.com/half-marathon-and-5k. Here is also a link to an UNOFFICIAL Half Marathon GPX file that you can download from Garmin: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/132414486. The Half Marathon course is a USATF Certified Course (certification #MO21019MU) (21.0975 km) through December 2031. Course certification information can be downloaded by copying and pasting the above certification number at https://certifiedroadraces.com/search/. The certified race profile is 142 meters of elevation at the start and finish line, with 141 meters as the lowest elevation and 174 meters as the highest elevation. Half marathon runners will pass through four water stops at the following APPROXIMATE locations: mile 3, mile 5.5, mile 9.5, and mile 12.

Saint Louis Half Marathon VIRTUAL ONLY
Complete your 13.1 mile run between October 23rd and November 6th to receive your Finisher Medal and Race Shirt! Your Virtual Run will support The ALS Association - St. Louis Region. You can run 13.1 miles at one time or you can string several runs together to accomplish the goal of running 13.1 miles. Please submit your results using the "results" tab on the menu bar of the website, and clicking the "Add a Result" button (the plus sign (+) button). If you change your mind and would like to run our Live 13.1 race, we will upgrade you to the Live Event at any point prior to race morning. You will just pay the difference between your Virtual Registration and the Live Registration fee.
Saint Louis Track Club 5K VIRTUAL ONLY
