Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K
About this race
The Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K returns for its 47th year on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
First run in 1980, this event holds the title of the longest-running half marathon in the St. Louis region, offering runners a classic road race experience through the historic and scenic setting of Forest Park.
THE COURSE
Both the Half Marathon and the 5K start and finish at the Muny Festival Grounds.
START
We use an “Open Start” format, meaning there will be a formal half marathon gun-start at 7:30 AM, but you may start your half marathon race any time between 7:30 and 7:40 AM. For the 5K, there will be a formal gun-start at 8:00 AM, but you may start your 5k race any time between 8:00 and 8:10 AM.
PRIZES & AWARDS
All finishers receive a custom metal medal!
Half Marathon: Prize money awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female overall finishers.
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $100
Age Group Awards: Recognizing the top 3 finishers in each age group, male and female. Age groups are: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
5K: Overall awards for the top 3 male and female finishers only.
PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will be held Friday, Nov. 6 at Running Niche, 1601 Tower Grove Avenue, St.Louis, MO 63110.
Packet pickup will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Voyager Room in the Forest Park Visitors Center. Detailed times will be emailed to participants.
Race-day packet pickup will be from 6AM-8AM.

Saint Louis Half Marathon
Prize money will be paid out to the top three overall male and female runners for the live, in-person Half Marathon. The prize money awards for Half Marathon Overall winners will be: $500 each to the Overall male and female first place finisher, $250 each to the Overall male and female second place finisher, and $100 each to the Overall male and female third place finisher. We will also offer male and female Age Group awards for the following Half Marathon age groups (as of race day): under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. To keep the races competitive, you are only eligible for Half Marathon or 5K Overall Awards if you start at the respective 7:30am (Half Marathon) or 8:00am (5K) "gun start." Half Marathon age group awards are based on chip time. Packet pickup will be at Running Niche on Tower Grove on Friday, November 7, from 1:00 pm to 6:00pm; at the Forest Park Visitor's Center on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00am to 4:00pm; and the morning of the race at the start/finish line starting at 6:00 am. If you are signing up for a virtual race and do not pick up your packet in person, we will mail it to you after race day. You may pick up the packet of a friend or family member. Aid stations will be at the following APPROXIMATE locations: miles 1.4, 4.3, 4.5, 6.4, 7.1, 9.25, 12.1, and 12.4 for the Half Marathon.
Saint Louis Track Club 5K
Packet pickup will be at Running Niche on Tower Grove on Friday, November 7, from 1:00 pm to 6:00pm; at the Forest Park Visitor's Center on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00am to 4:00pm; and the morning of the race at the start/finish line starting at 6:00 am. If you are signing up for a virtual race and do not pick up your packet in person, we will mail it to you after race day. You may pick up the packet of a friend or family member. Aid stations will be at the following APPROXIMATE locations: mile 1.5 for the 5k. For the 5K, awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers only. To keep the races competitive, you are only eligible for Half Marathon or 5K Overall Awards if you start at the respective 7:30am (Half Marathon) or 8:00am (5K) "gun start." Half Marathon age group awards are based on chip time.
Saint Louis Half Marathon VIRTUAL ONLY
Complete your 13.1 mile run prior to the end of race day to receive your Finisher Medal and Race Shirt! You can run 13.1 miles at one time or you can string several runs together to accomplish the goal of running 13.1 miles. Please submit your results using the "results" tab on the menu bar of the website, and clicking the "Add a Result" button (the plus sign (+) button). If you change your mind and would like to run our Live 13.1 race, we will upgrade you to the Live Event at any point prior to race morning. You will just pay the difference between your Virtual Registration and the Live Registration fee.
Saint Louis Track Club 5K VIRTUAL ONLY
