Thanksgiving Wattle 5K Run/Walk

Our 5K features a majestic Buckeye Parkway 5K course, Long sleeve technical shirts, chip timing, photographs, live on-course music, medals, Finish Line refreshments and pumpkin pies for all 5K finishers. Feel good about participating in an Event where you can join family and friends, knowing that significant proceeds will go to The Grove City Food Pantry. Your donation can help the Grove City Food Pantry buy needed foods from the MidOhio Food Bank with much purchasing power. The GC Food Pantry is the local pantry located on site at the Church with the Purple Doors. It is a 501c3 charity, and it is 100% staffed by volunteers. They help 1000's of families a year by providing basic food and supplies for those qualified.

Primrose Children's Run

100% of Primrose Children Run Race fees will be donated directly to the Grove City Food Pantry. On the day of the event, finishers will receive a medal, a juice packet, and a cookie. Two Heats: First Heat: Start time: 8:30am Sharp. Generally designed for 2-5 year olds. This will be a 150-200 yard dash. It will start 200 yards from the Start/Finish Arch. We will set up a makeshift Starting line west of the Start/Finish Arch at about 200 yards away from the Arch. Children will run East and chase (mascot) Turkeys, Pilgrims (and possibly Batman) to the finish line. Once arriving at the Finish line, they will receive medals, juice and a cookie. At Packet Pick Up they will pick up a bib, t-shirt and a goodie back with a McDonald’s Happy Meal Voucher 2nd Heat: Start time: 8:32am Generally designed for 6-9 year olds (but we have known 3-5 year olds in Heat 1 to do a repeat here?) This event will start at the Start/Finish arch at approximately 8:32 am. Children will run West on Lamplighter Drive for about 300 yards, do a loop and return. They also will chase (the now tiring) above characters. The runners run through the Start/Finish arch, finishing in front of the emcee stage. Once arriving at the Finish line, they will receive medals, juice and a cookie. At Packet Pick Up they will pick up a bib, t-shirt and a goodie bag with a McDonald’s Happy Meal Voucher. Turkey Leg 100

The Turkey Leg 100 will start at approximately 8:40am. The Turkey Leg 100 Event will cover the last 100 yards of the Wattle 5K course and entrants will be able to cross the Finish Line under the Finish Line Arch, receive a medal, a pumpkin pie, and enjoy the Finish Line Refreshments. This is an Event for Champions, those area athletes with disabilities preventing them from safely running/walking the 5K unassisted.

12 Mile Bike Ride Around Grove City on Grove City Streets. Controlled Group Ride with Police Bike Support. Start to be 8:45am 15 minutes earlier than Wattle 5K. Finish is to be near end of Wattle so as to minimize interference with Wattle walkers. Will maintain an average 10mph on ride. Riders need to be able to safely maintain this pace.
