Triple B Relay & Race - Bennington, NE
About this race
The Bennington Public Schools Foundation is excited to bring the Triple B Relay back to Bennington for year 3....and this year we are again partnering with a weekend that our community holds dear: Bennington Daze! The BBB is an event for all ages and skills! It includes 3 in-person race options + 1 virtual this year. There is a "Little B" option to run/walk a 1-mile fun route around the Bennington Elementary School track. The "Middle B" is a 2 to 5-person relay race through parts of Bennington; the relay touches 3 of the 8 schools in the school district as well as the future home of Bennington's 2nd high school and the Bennington Public Schools District Office + the Bennington Public Schools Foundation (event sponsor). The "Big B" is a 5-mile individual run/walk, along the same route as the relay teams. There is also a 5-mile virtual option. If you cannot make the race, it's an opportunity to donate to the cause and get your miles in!
The Triple B will start and finish before the cherished Bennington Daze Parade on Saturday morning, so you can participate and then head out to start the rest of your day, OR you can kick off your morning with The Triple B followed by the Bennington Daze Parade and all the Daze have to offer!

Running
Little B 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk/Stroll
This will be a 1-mile fun run/walk around the track at Bennington Elementary School. We will have a stroller lane so parents and littles of all ages are welcome to register.
Middle B Relay Race
Note when registering a relay team: the "captain" or first individual to register should create a team name/password when registering and then share this information with team members so when other relay member(s) sign up, they can sign up under the same team name. This will ensure your relay team is grouped together for the race event. The relay race will start at Bennington Elementary & the District/BPS Foundation Office. The route will take runners from Benn Elementary/BE to Bennington High School/BHS & Bennington Middle School/BMS (next runner), BHS/BMS west to 180th (next runner), 180th out to home of the new high school and back (next runner), back to BHS (next runner) to the south parking lot of BE to rejoin relay team. The last runner and team join up here to run the final portion together into BE stadium where all will cross the finish line together. The course will contain some gravel, paved roads, paved paths and a variety of views along the way. A shuttle will collect runners who have completed their portions and drop them off to BE to await their teams. We suggest teams of 2 to 5 members. Note: If a relay team has less than 5 members, individuals must run consecutive segments of the race (for example, in a 2-person team, runner 1 may run legs 1 & 2 before passing off to runner 2 who will run legs 3, 4, and 5....runner 1 & 2 will be reunited at BE to run the final portion together to the finish line). Each of the 5 legs of the race is approximately 1-mile in length.
Big B 5-Mile Run/Walk/Jog
The Big B race will run the same route as the Middle B. Starting at Bennington Elementary School, runners will need to be at that school to start the route. The route includes touching 3 of the 8 Bennington schools in the district as well as the future home of Bennington's 2nd high school and the District office + Foundation office. The course will have paved roads, paths, and gravel topped sections.
