YMCA 10k Training Team (includes Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k entry)

YMCA member or not, training for Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k with a team may be just what you need to get to the finish line, meet some new running buddies, and get motivated to be fit and active. This is a program for both runners and walkers. With help from motivational coaches and teammates, we can work together to conquer 6.2 miles! Training begins Saturday, January 18.

Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k Only (Seeded Runners)

This event is open to Seeded Runners only (62 minutes or faster). To register for this event we require proof of qualifying time - direct link to your personal race results or a finisher's certificate from 2018 to present. You can convert any race, from 5k (3.1 miles) up to a marathon, into an equivalent 10k time. If you are unsure of your results will qualify please email us at info@sportsbackers.org.

Virginia529 One Mile Kids Run for ages 5-12

This one-mile event for kids ages 5-12 features all of the excitement of the 10k. They’ll kick off the morning by warming up with music and mingling with some local mascots until the start gun goes off. After racing their little hearts out, they’ll finish to the roar of a crowd through the same chute as the 10k-ers, where they’ll get a commemorative medal.
