10K Trail Run
10K Trail Race at CSU Channel Islands at 7:30am **PLEASE NOTE: This is a chip-timed competitive Trail Race. All registrants should be able to finish the course in 75 minutes for safety reasons. Please choose the 15K "Hero Run" option if you want to do BOTH the 10K at 7:30am and then the 5K race at 9:00am. All finishers will receive a custom puzzle-shaped race medal and event t-shirt. Tech shirts and hats will be available for purchase at the race in limited supplies. Rain does not cancel, but may alter the course to not be on trails, for safety considerations.
Running
5K Run/Walk
Competitive Runners will begin at the start of the chip-timed race. Walkers are encouraged to sign up and must be able to finish the course in 1 hour. All children on course must be closely supervised by an adult. Sturdy strollers OK. Children in strollers do not need to be registered to participate, but all others on the course must be registered to participate. All registered finishers will receive a custom puzzle-shaped race medal and event t-shirt. Running fabric ("Tech") shirts and hats will be available for purchase at the race in limited supplies.
15K "Hero Run" - Both 10K+5K
NOTE: Only sign up for this option if you want to do BOTH races - the 10K Trail Race at 7:30am, then 5K Run/Walk at 9:00am. Runners registering for this option should be able to complete the 10K Trail Run in under 75 minutes to prepare for the 5K race. All races start and end in the same location at the University. All 15K "Hero Run" finishers will receive a specialized Hero cape for their medal after the 5K. All finishers will receive one custom puzzle-shaped race medal and event t-shirt. Tech shirts and hats will be available for purchase at the race in limited supplies. Rain does not cancel, but may alter the course to not be on trails, for safety considerations.
Fun K
Children, kids/adults on the Autism Spectrum and their families will have fun on this short course that is less than 1K (0.3mi). Walkers are strongly encouraged to participate in the 5K as this run is targeted for small children and adults with special needs. This race will have 3 waves of start times by age: Wave 1: Kids under age 8 Wave 2: Kids age 8-14, and Wave 3: Ages 14 and up
911 Run (First Responders)
The 911 Run is exclusively for Emergency First Responders (Police/Sheriff, Fire, and EMTs) who live or work in Ventura County. At registration, you will choose between the 5K, 10K Trail Run, or the 15K Hero Run. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RACE AS PART OF THE OTHER EVENTS. **Before registering online, please make sure you have the registration code from your supervisor in order to complete your free registration. Free registration is limited to the first 100 registrants. Thank you for ALL that you do to keep our community safe!
