Bacon Hill Bonanza 5K/10K Road Race, 1-Mile Kids Fun Run AND Virtual 5k/10k/1 Mile Run or Walk
About this race
We invite you to be a part of the 14th Annual Bacon Hill Bonanza!! The in-person event is a USATF sanctioned 5K or 10K. The 10K is part of the Adirondack USATF 2026 Grand Prix Series
Age group winners (5 year increments) receive a homemade pie!! Kings Chocolate Milk & homemade goodies at the finish line for all.
The 5K and 10K Road Races both start at 10:00 at the Bacon Hill Church 560 Route 32N Schuylerville, NY 12871. The Kid's 1-mile Fun Run is an out & back race starting and finishing at the church at 9:30.
If you live out-of- town, or would rather not compete in an in-person event - choose one of our virtual options:
For the virtual component, you select the distance you would like to run or walk - 1 mile, 5K or 10K and also choose where you would like to run. The Bonanza 5K and 10K Courses will be open and marked from April 1 - May 1st. If you decide to run on the Bonanza Course, it will NOT be closed to traffic. Please do not run your virtual race on our course during race hours.
10% of the 2026 proceeds go to S.A.F.E.R. Schuylerville Area Food & Emergency Relief
The remainder of the proceeds will go to the Bacon Hill Church. www.baconhillchurch.org
The first 300 registered participants receive a T-Shirt. (Sizes are not guaranteed - but we do our best!) Additional family members registering for the 5k/10k and 1 Mile receive $5 off! (Does not apply to fun run). We hope you will get out and walk or run! Virtual runners will receive a shirt for participation in the 1 Mile Run/Walk, 5K and 10K options. Join fellow runners on May 4, 2019 for the Bacon Hill Bonanza 5K/10K Road Race, 1-Mile Kids Fun Run AND Virtual 5k/10k/1 Mile Run or Walk. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Schuylerville.

Running
5k Run
An out and back race (run or walk) on Stonebridge Road, which is all paved and will be closed to traffic.
10k Run
The 10k runners begin with the 5K runners at the Bacon Hill Church heading north on Stonebridge Road, then TURN RIGHT (east) onto Ballard Lane (dirt road), then right (south) onto West River Road for an out and back, turning to run north on West River Road. Turn right onto Harris Lane, a dirt road loop by the Hudson River. At the end of this road, you have survived the most challenging hill, (but there is one more coming). Continue across Callahan Road, left onto Stonebridge ending back at the church. (The ONLY road closed to traffic is Stonebridge Road.) When you finish this race, give yourself a high five! It's somewhat challenging but very do-able!
Kids 1-Mile Fun Run
****CHILDREN must register Separate form ADULTS*** Note* - T-shirts are not included in the cost of the fun run race, but can be purchased on race day. This race is an out-and-back. It starts and finishes at the Bacon Hill Church. The kids run 1/2 mile north on Stonebridge Road, which will be closed to traffic, turn around and come back. Overall First place boy and girl each win a toll house pie! All kids receive a gift certificate for a Stewart's Ice Cream Cone.
