Bacon Hill Bonanza 5K/10K Road Race, 1-Mile Kids Fun Run AND Virtual 5k/10k/1 Mile Run or Walk
About this race
We invite you to be a part of the 14th Annual Bacon Hill Bonanza!! The in-person event is a USATF sanctioned 5K or 10K. The 10K is part of the Adirondack USATF 2026 Grand Prix Series
Age group winners (5 year increments) receive a homemade pie!! Kings Chocolate Milk & homemade goodies at the finish line for all.
The 5K and 10K Road Races both start at 10:00 at the Bacon Hill Church 560 Route 32N Schuylerville, NY 12871. The Kid's 1-mile Fun Run is an out & back race starting and finishing at the church at 9:30.
If you live out-of- town, or would rather not compete in an in-person event - choose one of our virtual options:
For the virtual component, you select the distance you would like to run or walk - 1 mile, 5K or 10K and also choose where you would like to run. The Bonanza 5K and 10K Courses will be open and marked from April 1 - May 1st. If you decide to run on the Bonanza Course, it will NOT be closed to traffic. Please do not run your virtual race on our course during race hours.
10% of the 2026 proceeds go to S.A.F.E.R. Schuylerville Area Food & Emergency Relief
The remainder of the proceeds will go to the Bacon Hill Church. www.baconhillchurch.org
The first 300 registered participants receive a T-Shirt. (Sizes are not guaranteed - but we do our best!) Additional family members registering for the 5k/10k and 1 Mile receive $5 off! (Does not apply to fun run). We hope you will get out and walk or run! Virtual runners will receive a shirt for participation in the 1 Mile Run/Walk, 5K and 10K options. In Person 10K Run - Included in the 2022 USATF Grand Prix
Race will start and finish at the Bacon Hill Church 560 Route 32 N Schuylerville NY 12871, on rural country roads - some dirt. Only Stonebridge Road will be closed to traffic. Be sure to see map. In Person 1-Mile Kid's Fun Run (No Shirt Included)
* * * Kids must register separate from Adults * * * * No shirts for the 1 mile fun run, however - 1st place male & female each receive a toll house pie! All participants receive a gift certificate for an ice cream cone at Stewart's. This out and back race starts and ends at the church using Stonebridge Road which will be closed to traffic. Come, run and have some fun!! (Music, lots of cookies and King's Chocolate milk on site!!)
Virtual 5k Run
Run or walk this event wherever you would like. The Bonanza Course will be marked if you would like to use it. It is an out and back on Stonebridge Road. It will NOT be closed to traffic. Participation is AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please do not use our course on race day (May 22) until after 2:00 pm. Thank you! If you do use our course, be sure to sign your name at our finish line poster!! Virtual 10k Run
Run 6.2 miles wherever you choose. If you would like to use our course, the Bonanza 10k course will be marked, but realize that it WILL NOT be closed to traffic. Participants who choose to use the Bonanza course do so AT THEIR OWN RISK. When you finish this race, give yourself a high five! It's somewhat challenging but very do-able! Send us your results and photos!! Please do not use our course on race day (May 22) until after 2:00 pm. Thank you! If you do use our course, be sure to sign your name at our finish line poster!! Virtual 1-Mile Walk/Run
This is a 1 mile option for adults who would like to support our cause and get out and participate by walking or running. The cost includes a T-shirt. You can walk or run your mile anywhere - including on your own treadmill! Packet Pickup: Friday Night, May 20th 5:30 - 6:30 We thank you for your support!
Kids Virtual 1-Mile Fun Run (No Shirt Included)
****CHILDREN must register Separate from ADULTS*** Note* - T-shirts are not included when registering for the fun run. If you include your mailing address, we will send a Stewart's Ice Cream Cone Gift Certificate to all kids who participate in the Virtual 1 mile fun run.
