About this race
Halloween WILL be in the air, and we will be celebrating the 16th running of the Ghost 5k running events!
We invite you to join in the fun of Halloween with our 5k and Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run,
Join us Saturday, Oct. 25 at 4 PM from Dynasty Brewing Company, Ashburn VA (21140 Ashburn Crossing Dr. Ashburn, VA) for course Halloween spookiness, costume contest, and more! Our Kids' Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run will start at 3 PM before the 5k race.
This experience will center on the “spooktacular” theme of Halloween and incorporate a costume contest, long sleeve tech shirts, and glow in the dark medal presented at the finish line!
Runners are encouraged to run in costume and be a part of our costume contest!
All participants will receive Halloween candy, commemorative long sleeve tech t-shirt, a glow in the dark finishers' medal presented at the finish line!

Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run (In Person)
Join in the fun of Halloween and join us for our in-person Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run. This distance is recommend for little ghost ages 8 and under. Kids are encouraged to run in costume to make it more fun, and be a part of our costume contest! All Scarecrow Sprint participants will receive a goodie bag of Halloween candy, commemorative long sleeve tech glow in the dark t-shirt, as well as a finishers' medal at the finish line.
5k Virtual Only
Join in the virtual fun of Halloween with this virtual edition of our Ghost 5k. Choose to run anywhere, anytime, and navigate your own course spookiness! Run in costume to make it more fun! Post your pics to our Instagram or Facebook pages with #GhostCertified #SpookeyGoodTime All virtual 5k participants will be shipped a goodie bag of Halloween candy, commemorative long sleeve tech glow in the dark t-shirt, as well as a glow in the dark finishers' medal. Join in the virtual fun of Halloween with our virtual challenge! Not 2 Spooky 4 ME gives you the opportunity to run both the 5k and 10k over the Halloween weekend. Make it more fun and run in costume for BOTH runs! Choose to run in one costume for both runs or switch it up and debut two! Post your pics to our Instagram or Facebook pages with #GhostCertified! All virtual challenge participants will be shipped Halloween candy, commemorative event glow in the dark t-shirt, as well as a finishers' medal. Challenge participants will receive an extra surprise swag item as well! Cost of shipping included within your registration price. Those registered before Oct. 15, swag will ship before Oct. 23.
