Miwok 100K
About this race
The Miwok 100K is one of the most beautiful and iconic trail ultramarathons in the world. We believe everyone deserves a shot at something extraordinary. The Miwok100K is about the everyday runner who shows up ready to dig deep on some of the most breathtaking trails around. Set in the Marin Headlands just north of San Francisco, The Miwok 100K offers 62 miles of gorgeous trails, over 11,000 feet of gain, and nonstop views, from redwoods to ridge lines to crashing coastal cliffs.
The course features single-track trails and dirt roads with about a mile of paved road. The race is competitive at the front, and a rewarding challenge for all. Less than an hour from San Francisco, the Start/Finish is in the town of beautiful Stinson Beach, nestled against Mount Tamalpais, with its excellent cafés, a small market, lodging, and more.
Course marking is excellent, and you’ll be supported by some of the best volunteers on a race course anywhere. We hire professional medical for all aid stations for those occasional skinned knees and such. Our 2026 runners will receive a custom Miwok 100K finisher’s medal and a Miwok 100K sweatshirt.

Miwok 100k plus 18 week Training Plan
We are excited to offer a 18-Week Training Plan for the 2022 Miwok 100K, created by 2008 US Olympian and 2015 Western States 100 Champion, Magda Boulet. Our goal is to offer you tips and tools related to training and racing, and the Miwok 100K course. The Training Plan begins the first week in January 2022. Every Sunday, participants will receive an email from Coach Magda with a detailed training plan for the week, with options for novice and intermediate ultrarunners. Experienced ultrarunners can register for the Training Plan, too, for some fun workout ideas. You will be part of a private Miwok 100K Training Facebook Group where you can share your training milestones with the Miwok community, and support each other along the way. Also included is a bi-weekly “virtual clinic” featuring community guests and experts who will focus on educational content to complement your preparation for any ultra-endurance race.
