Carolina Marathon

Carolina Marathon Relay

The Carolina Marathon is the only marathon in upstate South Carolina, yet it is considerably less hilly than other races in our area due to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, built on an old railroad corridor. The marathon starts in downtown Greenville and goes to Travelers Rest and back. The course showcases the beautiful 280 acre campus of Furman University, one of the top liberal arts universities in the nation.

Run Town USA Half Marathon

The Run Town USA Half Marathon is our most popular event. The course goes through downtown Greenville, historic districts, and city parks. The HM is hilly and has lots of turns, especially in the park. The course showcases scenic parts of the city and combines many local favorite running routes, making for an interesting run.

Greenville Downtown 10k

The Greenville Downtown 10K was created a few years ago to help establish a major 10K in the fall, like the Reedy River Run in the spring. The course uses many of the same roads as the 1980’s Reedy River Run course, so its a throwback of sorts to the early years of the GTC. The course is fun and gives runners a tour of downtown and the park.

Big Punkin 5k Run/Walk

Dress up and run on the wild side at the 2015 Big Punkin, Halloween Edition! Our own “Elvis Imposter” (a.k.a. the race director) will be handing out gift cards to the best dressed participants. The Big Punkin is a competitive race so feel free to shed the costume and go for the win…but it’s equally acceptable to dial it down a notch, have a good time, and enjoy the “runnertainment”.
