Join us for the 2026 Spooky Sprint 5K!
8:30 AM: Costume Contest & Check-In
9:00 AM: Race Start
Show off your spooky style! Prizes for the best costumes (yes, pets too!) and medals for overall and age group race winners.
Registration Prices:
- Early Registration (August 1 - September 30): $35
- October 1–25: $45 (please note: ticket sales will end at 8:30am on race day)
- Kids (ages 2–10): $20
PLEASE NOTE: As of October 1st, race t-shirts are available in limited quantities and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. If your size vanishes into the night, we cannot guarantee an exact or alternate fit.
Race will take place rain or shine.
All pets must be leashed to keep our ghouls and goblins safe.
Food provided by Scratch Biscuit Company.

Spooky Sprint VIRTUAL
If you can't attend the race on 10/29, sign up to participate as a virtual runner or walker! Runners may register to do a virtual run/walk until 10/29/2022. Shirts will be provided as supplies last, so register early! Please note registration will include $5.00 for shipping for the t-shirt. You can run or walk at your leisure, get exercise, and support a great cause. We encourage you to take a photo, upload it to social media with the hashtag #SpookySprintRoanoke2022 to share your run with us.
Spooky Sprint 5k
Runners will start in Wasena park and run along the beautiful Roanoke River greenway with a race start time of 9:30 am. Runners may register at the event up until 8:45 a.m. on 10/29/2022. Shirts will be provided as supplies last, so register early! Packet pick up will take place on Friday, 10/28, 12-6 pm at Runabout Sports Roanoke and on Saturday, 10/29, at Wasena Park, 8-8:45 am. Runners are encouraged to come in costume with judging taking place prior to the race. A wellness fair, kids' activities, and food will be happening from 9 am-2 pm so bring your friends and family and plan to have a fun time!
