Join us for the 2026 Spooky Sprint 5K!
8:30 AM: Costume Contest & Check-In
9:00 AM: Race Start
Show off your spooky style! Prizes for the best costumes (yes, pets too!) and medals for overall and age group race winners.
Registration Prices:
- Early Registration (August 1 - September 30): $35
- October 1–25: $45 (please note: ticket sales will end at 8:30am on race day)
- Kids (ages 2–10): $20
PLEASE NOTE: As of October 1st, race t-shirts are available in limited quantities and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. If your size vanishes into the night, we cannot guarantee an exact or alternate fit.
Race will take place rain or shine.
All pets must be leashed to keep our ghouls and goblins safe.
Food provided by Scratch Biscuit Company.

Spooky Sprint 5k 2023
Runners will start in Wasena park and run along the beautiful Roanoke River greenway with a race start time of 9am. Packet pick up will take place on Friday, 10/27, 10-6 pm at Runabout Sports Roanoke and on Saturday, 10/28, at Wasena Park, 8-8:30 am. Runners are encouraged to come in costume with judging taking place prior to the race. Please arrive by 8:30am if you would like to be entered in the costume contest.
