This year we are Moving Hope Forward Together to raise critical funds for sarcoma research while amplifying awareness for this rare and challenging cancer. Every dollar supports innovative research across North Carolina advancing treatments and improving outcomes for patients locally and globally.
The Sarcoma Stomp is more than a fundraiser—it’s a day of hope and community! Enjoy a 5K Run/3K Walk through South Charlotte, followed by games, face painting, music, team tents, and an afterparty festival with food and drinks from Legion Brewing.
Whether you’re running, walking, fundraising, or cheering, your participation helps make a difference. Together, let’s take steps toward a cure!

WEATHERThe Sarcoma Stomp is held rain or shine. However, safety is always our #1 priority. In the event of any severe weather on April 11th, Go Ahead Event Management will communicate with participants regarding any race delay or cancellation. Please make sure your registration includes a valid email address and cell phone number so that you can be properly contacted should severe weather be an issue on race day.

Running
3K Fun Walk
The non-competitive (untimed) 3K Fun Walk begins at 9:05am. Tee shirts guaranteed to those who register on or before April 14th; and while supplies last for registrations after April 14th. Kids aged 11 and under who are registered in the 3K Fun Walk may also participate in the Kids' Dash (9:45 am) at no additional charge!
5K Run
The 5K Run begins at 9:00am. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers, and the top 3 in each age group. The age groups are 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, and 65+. An award is also given to the top three finishers under the age of 14. Tee shirts guaranteed to those who register on or before April 14th; and while supplies last for registrations after April 14th. Kids aged 11 and under who are registered in the 5K Run may also participate in the Kids' Dash (9:45 am) at no additional charge!
Cheering Crew
Join the Cheering Crew if you are unable to participate in one of the events but would still like to come out and cheer! Register for the Cheering Crew and you'll receive a Sarcoma Stomp 2012 tee shirt that you can wear while making some noise for the runners!
