About this race
The 16th Annual Remember the Fallen Memorial 5K Run will be September 5, 2026, once again proudly presented by the North Port Fire Rescue Honor Guard.

Saturday, 09/05/2026 - Race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center
Register by August 8th to customize your race bib with your callsign, name, nickname, etc. Make your bib a special keepsake.
Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a time to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day. Show your support and become part of this memorial event!
Join fellow runners on September 13, 2014 for the Remember the Fallen 5K Memorial Run. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in North Port.

Remember the Fallen 5K Memorial Run
This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes both runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site following the awards ceremony to include performances from a pipes and drums band. Awards will be given to the first male and female in the following categories: Overall, Youth Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, and Veterans. Awards three deep will be given in each 5 year age category, 9 and under - 80 and older.
Volunteer-Remember the Fallen 5K Memorial Run
There will be a meeting for the volunteers the night of September 12, 2014 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be located at George C. Mullen Center, 1602 Kramer Way, North Port Fl., 34286. We will cover all details regarding the various duties of the volunteers as well as the overall safety plan of the event.
