About this race
The 16th Annual Remember the Fallen Memorial 5K Run will be September 5, 2026, once again proudly presented by the North Port Fire Rescue Honor Guard.

Race Morning
Saturday, 09/05/2026 - Race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center
Register by August 8th to customize your race bib with your callsign, name, nickname, etc. Make your bib a special keepsake.
Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a time to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day. Show your support and become part of this memorial event!
Join fellow runners on September 9, 2017 for the Remember the Fallen 5K Memorial Run. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in North Port.

7th Annual "Remember the Fallen" 5K Memorial Run
This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes both runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site following the awards ceremony to include performances from a pipes and drums band. Awards will be given to the first male and female in the following categories: Overall, Youth Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, and Veterans. Awards three deep will be given in each 5 year age category, 9 and under - 80 and older.
2nd Annual "Remember the Fallen" 10K Memorial Run
This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes both runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site following the awards ceremony to include performances from a pipes and drums band.
Firefighter Challenge (5K Only)
If you are interested in competing in the Firefighter Challenge, we are asking that you register under this tab. By doing this we will be able to better track the individuals competing. Why not take it to the next level? Pay tribute and take on this memorial run in FULL bunker gear (jacket, pants & helmet; boots are not required). For those up for the challenge, awards will be given 3 deep in both categories; Fire Officer and Fire Fighter. We would also like to extend the invitation to any Police or Military personnel to run in the gear of your choice to show support for your fellow man.
