The 16th Annual Remember the Fallen Memorial 5K Run will be September 5, 2026, once again proudly presented by the North Port Fire Rescue Honor Guard.

Saturday, 09/05/2026 - Race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center
Register by August 8th to customize your race bib with your callsign, name, nickname, etc. Make your bib a special keepsake.
Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a time to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day. Show your support and become part of this memorial event!
Join fellow runners on September 12, 2020 for the Remember the Fallen 5K Memorial Run. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in North Port.

10th Annual "Remember the Fallen" 5K Memorial Run
This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site, performances from a pipes and drums band, and the awards ceremony. Awards will be given to the first male and female in the following categories: Overall, Youth Overall (14 & under), Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+), and Veteran Grand Masters (70+). Awards three deep will be given in age groups 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19 then 5-year increments, 75-79 and 80 & older.
Firefighter RELAY TEAM
NEW this year! For Fire Fighters only, gather your team of three and, in FULL GEAR, each team member runs one leg (about 1 mile each) of the 5K. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given to the three fastest relay teams Relay Team participants will recognized and receive a special memento. During registration for the Firefighter Relay Team you can join the team your teammate has set up and shared with you. OR Create a team, set the team name and password, register yourself, then let your fellow firefighters know to register for your team. Note: Although it may be easier, all three team members need not register at the same time. Just be sure to share the team name and password so your team members get signed up for the right team!
Remember the Fallen Virtual 5K
Run Virtually Anywhere and Virtually Anytime from September 11th to September 27th to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day.
