The 16th Annual Remember the Fallen Memorial 5K Run will be September 5, 2026, once again proudly presented by the North Port Fire Rescue Honor Guard.

Saturday, 09/05/2026 - Race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center
Register by August 8th to customize your race bib with your callsign, name, nickname, etc. Make your bib a special keepsake.
Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a time to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day. Show your support and become part of this memorial event!

14th Annual "Remember the Fallen" 5K Memorial Run
This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is the great flat, fast, course introduced in 2022 with displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site, performances from a pipes and drums band, and the awards ceremony. Surprise finisher swag will be given to each and every finisher! What will it be in 2023?! Awards will be given to the first male and female in the following categories: Overall, Youth Overall (14 & under), Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+), and Veteran Grand Masters (70+). Awards three deep will be given in age groups 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19 then 5-year increments up to 85-89 and 90 & older.
Hometown Hero Challenge
For Fire Officers, Fire Fighters, EMTs, Paramedics, Law Enforcement and Military who choose to represent their service and run in their respective service's gear. Hometown Heroes will compete for 5K awards in the appropriate age group but all those registering in the Hometown Hero Challenge and running in their gear will be presented a special commemorative Challenge Coin and recognized during the awards ceremony. Surprise finisher swag will be given to each and every finisher! What will it be in 2023?!
