About this race
Get your little athletes ready for their sports through cardio, resistance, balance, agility and plyometric training, along with core work. Through running, they will build endurance, speed and strength to improve performance and reduce injury in athletics, as well as everyday activities. They would not know they are working hard because they would be having too much fun!
Join fellow runners on January 10, 2022 for the Walnut Creek Run Club. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K, 4.8K, 8K featuring a flat and fast course in Walnut Creek.

Will Run For Popsicle! Buena Vista - Winter 5KM Training Program (Grades K-5)
A 10-week winter running program for youths grades K-5, based at Buena Vista Elementary School. The program ends with a 5km race (entry included). 2.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. Every Monday & Wednesday 9.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. Optional Sundays (various locations)
Cross Country - Winter Session (Grades 2-8)
6-week cross country program for your youth athletes based at the Shell Ridge Open Space near Indian Valley Elementary School. Whether your child is a soccer, baseball, softball, basketball player or swimmer, let our Cross Country Sessions help them get stronger, quicker and stay injury free. Through trail running and games, your child will develop agility, balance, flexibility and endurance. We also incorporate age appropriate resistance and core training to build overall strength. 4.30 p.m. - 5.30 p.m. Every Tuesday and Thursday 9.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. Optional Sundays (various locations)
Will Run For Popsicle! Tice Creek/Parkmead - Winter 5KM Training Program (Grades K-5)
A 10-week winter running program for youths grades K-5, based at Tice Creek Elementary School. The program ends with a 5km race (entry included). 2.30p.m. - 3.30 p.m. (Parkmead) Every Tuesday & Thursday 2.50 p.m. - 3.50 p.m. (Tice Creek) Every Tuesday & Thursday 9.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. Optional Sundays (various locations)

Will Run For Popsicles - Walnut Acres Track Get your little athletes ready for their sports and daily activities with our track club. We will focus on running fast and having fun. Through running, they will build endurance, speed and strength. The goal is to improve performance and reduce injury in athletics, as well as everyday activities. They will not know they are working hard because they would be having too much fun! We celebrate the end of every practice with an otter pop. When: Every Wednesday, March 23rd - May 25th (9 sessions, no practice Spring Break) Time: 12.30pm - 1.30pm Included: Optional youth races (0.5mi, 1mi, 5km) on 3/27, 4/24, 5/29 Minimum: 12 participants for program to run Cost: $200

We will meet at Castle Rock Recreation Area in Walnut Creek for a trail run or hike. The whole family is welcome. There will be a 3mi run group and a 2mi hike group, we will head out and back on the same trail. Event is free but we ask that you sign everyone up before you join us.
Cross Country Run Club | All 18 Weeks | Grades 2-8
